Crossing the Greek frontier
October,1940
Main company attack with a tankette and mortar section support Intially Liberti Squad had good success in clearing path on left flank of all enemy, including a LMG and AT Gun. Platoon blasted British squad on hill into retreating.
Liberti squad advanced into British position on the left, despite enemy armored car appearing behind main line of resistance. Lt De Feo orders Ruscutti's squad to charge hill. Miraclously, squad only takes light causalities.
Liberti outflanks and pins infantry squad and armored car. Ruscutti squad is mowed down, but fire support from SSG Cerullo fire teams destroyed British counterattack, forcing a British withdraw.
All LMG team down to 3 men. Riscutti has 3 men. Galaventi down to 9.
